Abstract Submission

We welcome abstract submissions for contributed talks. Please submit your abstract (max 200 words) using the button below and the linked Google form. Contributed talks will be in a 12 + 3 minute format.

We encourage you to register for the conference before the registration deadline to secure your place. We will only accept in-person contributions, and recorded talks will be made available after the conference.

We are also soliciting opinions and relevant questions for the discussions. Please get in touch with us using the dedicated splinter email:

We do not accept poster submission through the splinter, however poster abstracts can be submitted through the main conference website (deadline 7 May 2026). We encourage you to submit a poster via the main conference poster submission if you are not selected for a contributed talk in our splinter (we will notify the selected speakers before the poster deadline). Unsuccessful submissions for talks at our splinter will not be automatically considered for poster presentation.

Abstract Selection

Abstract will be selected based on their quality and relevance to the splinter topic by the organisers. Speaker selection will be made by 30 March 2026, and speakers will be notified by email.

In order to foster an inclusive and diverse environment, we will strive to select a diverse set of speakers in terms of career stage and representation. We encourage early career researchers to submit their work. We also will encourage a balance between theory and observation-based talks.

We however note that Cool Stars 23 follows a one-person-one-talk policy across the entire meeting. We still encourage you to submit your abstracts for the splinter and to contact us if selected for a plenary contribution.
